Site users are required to follow all the policies and procedures of the Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission. These policies and procedures are put in place to ensure that the transfer station is operated in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- All site visitors must check in with attendant
- No disposal without valid permit
- Scavaging is prohibited
- All loads must be secure and covered (penalty issued under Municipal Bylaw or EPEA)
- Unload in designated areas only
RESIDENTIAL PERMIT IS REQUIRED
Loads must be sorted and placed in designated areas.
The transfer station uses a bin system for residential waste only. All items have to be hand-bombed into the bins. There is no accommodation for oversized waste, hoist dumping or large mixed loads.
The following waste is not accepted at the transfer station:
- Animal Carcasses
- Automobile Batteries
- Concrete
- Concrete Blocks and Rocks
- Railway Ties
- Tree Stumps
- Noxious Weeds
- Large Furniture (sofas, box springs)
- Freon Units
- Shingles
