The Roseridge Transfer Station provides a convenient local drop-off for household waste, recycling and select materials.
As a transfer station, it has a more limited scope than the Roseridge Waste Management Center. Some bulky and specialized materials must be taken to the main facility.
The Transfer Station is funded entirely through disposal and service fees and does not receive municipal tax funding.
Location: Range Road 215 and Township Road 575, Redwater Hours: Wednesday to Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Phone: 780-203-5124
Bring Your Permit Card
Bring your physical Roseridge Transfer Station permit card with you when you visit. Need a new or replacement card? Your local municipal office can help.
A photo of your card or permit number on your phone can’t be used for entry.
Sort Your Load
Keep garbage, recycling and other accepted recoverable materials separate where possible. Sorting before you arrive makes unloading easier and ensures recyclable material can be dropped off separately from chargeable mixed waste.
Secure Your Load
Use a tarp, straps or other appropriate means to prevent material from blowing, spilling or falling from your vehicle. All loads must be secured while travelling to Roseridge. (Sturgeon County Bylaw 1278/12)
Minimum Load Charge
A minimum load charge applies to mixed waste brought to the Transfer Station. There is no scale at this location, so the minimum charge is the disposal fee for each mixed load. Loads containing only accepted recycling are not charged.
The Roseridge Transfer Station accepts household waste, recycling and select recoverable materials. Keep materials separated where possible and use the information below to find the right drop-off area.
Household Recycling
Bring household packaging and paper products, Hazardous & Special Products, household batteries, electronics, paint, tires, used oil materials and eligible agricultural recycling.
Resource Recovery
Scrap metal, wire and fencing, and brush and branches have separate drop-off areas so they can be recovered or specially processed.
Household Waste
Regular household garbage and other accepted non-recyclable materials can be brought to the Transfer Station. A disposal charge applies to mixed waste loads.
Not Accepted at the Transfer Station
Because the Transfer Station is a smaller facility with limited handling capacity, the following materials must be taken to the Roseridge Waste Management Center:
Keep Children in Your Vehicle
Please keep children inside
your vehicle while using disposal
and drop-off areas.
Keep Pets in Your Vehicle

your vehicle while onsite.
No Smoking
