Category A Soil Amendment with Unrestricted Use

Roseridge Waste Management Commission transforms properly sorted regional organics into Roseridge Re-Source Premium Compost, a Category A soil amendment with unrestricted use.

Each year, our composting operation processes approximately 14,000 metric tonnes of accepted organics, turning food scraps, yard waste, and other compostable materials into a high-quality resource for gardens, farms, and landscapes across our region.

What Can Go in Your Green Cart?

Food Scraps:

Fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, grains, coffee grounds

Food-Soiled Paper:

Pizza boxes, napkins, paper towels

Yard Waste:

Leaves, grass clippings, garden trimmings

Reminder:

Large branches, tree limbs, and other oversized yard waste do not belong in your green cart. Please take them to the branch pile at the Roseridge Waste Management Center.

Keeping Contamination Out

Keep Plastic and Other Contaminants Out of Your Green Cart

Plastic, glass, metal, diapers, pet waste, and non-compostable packaging do not belong in your green cart. Keeping these materials out helps protect the quality of Roseridge Re-Source Premium Compost and reduces contamination in the composting process.

Where to Get Roseridge

Re-Source Premium Compost

Community Resource Zone

Residents of Roseridge’s six member municipalities can pick up Roseridge Re-Source Premium Compost for free at the Community Resource Zone, located before the scale at the Roseridge Waste Management Center east of Morinville. Bring your own container and shovel, take what you need, and leave some for others. This program is intended for home garden use.

You can also find soils blends and potting mixes that include Roseridge Re-Source Premium Compost at select garden centres in the Edmonton region:

Riverstone Garden Center - located just off the Henday at 88 Ave.

Devonian Landscape Center - 26302 Township Rd 511, Spruce Grove.

Residential Bulk Loads

Roseridge Re-Source Premium Compost is also available in residential bulk quantities by trailer load only (no pickup trucks permitted). Minimum order is 5 cubic yards, approximately 2 metric tonnes, at $18 per metric tonne.
