Fundraise for Your Group with the Roseridge Spring Clean-Up!
Great Opportunity For Your Community Group To Raise Funds
Spring is coming, and Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission is once again hosting the Roseridge Spring Clean-Up—an opportunity for community groups, schools, and local organizations to fundraise while helping keep our region clean.
“This initiative allows us to work with the community in a way that benefits everyone,” says Zachary Breshears, Director of Operations at Roseridge. “Groups can earn funding for their causes while helping keep key areas clean and free of debris.”
This program is designed to complement, not compete with, existing municipal clean-up efforts. Roseridge is focusing on major thoroughfares leading to Roseridge facilities, boundary roads, and areas near neighboring properties that may not already fall under municipal clean-up programs or public works responsibilities.
How Groups Can Participate
There are two ways to get involved:
1️ - Roadway Clean-Up
🏆 Earn $100 per kilometre cleaned (both sides of the road).
📍 Focused on major roads and boundary areas near Roseridge.
2️ - Facility & Neighboring Property Clean-Up
🏆 Earn $200 per hour (minimum of 8 volunteers required).
📍 Focused on roadways leading to Roseridge and adjacent properties.
📢 Note: This program does not cover school sites, park reserves, storm ponds, utility right-of-ways, private properties, or empty lots.
Why Should Your Group Sign Up?
✔ Raise Funds for Your Cause – Earn funding while helping your community.
✔ Support Environmental Stewardship – Assist with litter collection in key areas.
✔ Work Alongside Roseridge & Member Communities – A joint effort to maintain cleaner spaces.
“This program gives us the chance to directly support the groups that make our region better,” Breshears said. “We’re looking forward to seeing the community come together and make a noticeable impact.”
