About the Role
Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy construction equipment at our Class II landfill and Class I Compost Facility. Operators must demonstrate excellent customer service skills as you will interact with customers, truck drivers and other Roseridge staff.
Responsibilities:
■ Operate a wide variety of equipment including dozer, loader, rock truck,and compactor in compliance with operating procedures andmanufacturer specifications.
■ Work primarily in the landfill cells but will also cover in compost areaturning rows with the loader.
■ Move soils, waste materials, and debris according to fill plans and gradespecifications
■ Visually inspect the working area through out the day for unacceptablewaste.
■ Perform basic labour tasks including assisting with installation of litterfences or retrieval of windblown litter.
■ Perform routine, general site maintenance tasks including but not limitedto snow removal, loading and hauling material from segregation areas.
■ Perform pre-operation inspections and daily equipment checks
■ Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment:Greasingfittings, replacing cutting edges, adjusting track tension, and changingfilters, washing and fueling equipment are routine operator tasks
■ Comply with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety plans.
Qualifications:
■ Minimum 1000 hours ofexperience operating heavy equipment
■ Work experience inthe waste, recycling orenvironmental servicesindustries an asset
■ Valid Class 5 drivers'license
■ Successfully completebackground check, whichwill include previousemployment check,criminal history and motorvehicle record review.
■ Willing to work OT
Successful applicants will be required to provide a Drivers Abstract prior to their first day of work.

Successful applicants will be required to agree to a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to their first day of work.
