Maintenance Technician

About the Role

A maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance technicians perform a wide range of tasks to keep facilities operational, including:
• Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues and
• potential hazards (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical
• systems)
• Performing routine repairs and preventive maintenance to avoid
• equipment breakdowns
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems and
• implementing solutions
• Conducting minor carpentry, welding, metal or plastic fabrication, and
• other general maintenance tasks.
• Oversee inspection, servicing, and repair activities of all fleet vehicles
• Perform a range of tasks related to maintaining cleanliness in public areas
• including managing litter picking events
• Maintaining records of maintenance work, inventory, and supplies
• Coordinating with vendors or specialists for tasks beyond their expertise,
• such as major electrical or HVAC work
• Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations

Required Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, mechanical systems)
• Hands-on experience with tools, machinery, and building systems
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Effective communication and organizational skills
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in varied environments
